The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging provides transportation in the County, operating a taxi voucher program and a demand-response transportation service for elderly residents and residents with disabilities. The taxi voucher program is supported by the Statewide Special Transportation Assistance Program (SSTAP). The County's demand-response service is a County-funded service that supplements the taxi voucher program.

The Transportation Division of the Anne Arundel County Department of Planning and Zoning contracts with the City of Annapolis to operate several routes in the County to improve mobility for County residents. The routes include the South County Shuttle, operating between Annapolis and Edgewater/Shady Side, and the C-40, operating between Edgewater, Annapolis and the Anne Arundel Community College.

The Annapolis Department of Transportation (ADOT) provides transit and commuter solutions through three shuttle routes and a fixed-route system comprised of eleven routes. Serving Annapolis and northern and southern portions of Anne Arundel County, the ADOT system links residents and visitors to the State's capital with recreational areas, shopping centers, educational and medical facilities and employment hubs. ADOT also offers transportation for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

Howard Transit is the general public transportation provider in Howard County and is operated by Corridor Transportation Corporation (CTC) through a contract with Howard County. Howard Transit offers several fixed routes serving Columbia, Ellicott City, Elkridge, Savage, North Laurel and surrounding areas including the BWI/Marshall Airport. Howard Transti connects with MARC Train and MTA Commuter Bus routes in Howard County. Howard Transit also offers demand response services, known as HT RIDE, for individuals with disabilities and senior citizens who cannot ride fixed route buses. HT Ride consists of two service components: "safety net" services available throughout the County and ADA complementary paratransit services within the fixed route service area.

The Queen Anne's County Department of Aging operates "County Ride", which provides four deviated-fixed routes in Queen Anne's and contiguous counties. County Ride operates the Kent Island to Easton Shuttle, the Kent Island Shuttle, the North County Shuttle, and the County circular route serving Centreville-Queenstown-Grasonville-Kent Island and return (includes service to Chesapeake College). These routes serve various locations including shopping centers, general business and medical facilities, employment centers, Senior Centers and government services. SSTAP operations provide transportation to all eligible clients to and from medical and other required services. Major medical facilities are located outside of Queen Anne's County, requiring trips to Easton, Annapolis, Chestertown, Baltimore and other locations.
